Insights from RUB on the Planetary Roller Extruder
Driving Innovation Together. Prof. Marcus Petermann, Head of the Chair of Particle Technology (Lehrstuhl fรผr Feststoffverfahrenstechnik) at Ruhr University Bochum (RUB), visited us once again to present insights into his current and previous research projects.
Sebastian Rust, Frank Asmuss, and Thomas Malzahn followed his presentation with great interest. Especially in challenging times, representatives from academia and industry alike are called upon to further strengthen Germanyโs position as a business and innovation hub, ensuring that future generations are well prepared for global competition.
The operation of an ๐๐ก๐ง๐๐ซ ๐ณ๐ฌ ๐ฃ๐น๐ฎ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฅ๐ผ๐น๐น๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐๐ ๐๐ฟ๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฟ in the RUB laboratories provides an ideal platform for close collaboration โ whether in the field of chemical recycling or polymerization. Academic work, such as doctoral and masterโs theses, also makes a valuable contribution to reinforcing Bochumโs standing as a center of research and industry.

Excursion by the University of Wuppertal
As part of an excursion in December 2025, students from the University of Wuppertal (Bergische Universitรคt Wuppertal - BUW), led by guest lecturer Dr. Michael Kroh from Vorwerk, visited ENTEX in Bochum. The informal aim was to learn about the Planetary Roller Extruder and its areas of application. They were accompanied by our colleagues Marc Waffenschmidt and Thomas Malzahn.
