• Continuous processing instead of batch processes

  The ENTEX Planetary Roller Extruder (PRE) is an innovative production machine for the continuous production of all manner of materials and substances. Today, it is often possible to replace all batch processes in production with a Planetary Roller Extruder. The capabilities of Planetary Roller Extruders extend from polymerisation and reactive processes to conventional compounding and homogenisation.

• Modular scalability and solutions that are fit for the future

  Efficiency is extremely important to us. The Planetary Roller Extruder’s unrivalled modularity allows it to perform a large number of processing steps within a continuous process. System length can be varied, ensuring that process zones can be added or removed at any time. This flexibility ensures that machinery can keep pace with our customers’ continuous product development – for solutions that are fit for the future and with an attractive ROI.

• The technology – modular, adaptable and flexible

  A combination of various principles that takes you to the next level of process technology. The ENTEX PRE acts as a combination of a conventional extruder and a continuous roll mill. The number of kneading gaps ranges anywhere from six to over 40 and can be adjusted as required in accordance with the unit’s size. Even the geometries of the individual elements can be varied, making it possible to control and modify key elements of process engineering such as shear, dwell time, free volumes and energy input as needed.

• Unique – the temperature control facility

  The extruder controls the input of both thermal energy and mechanical energy. Our pioneering innovation: these can be controlled separately. Unlike other solutions, the Planetary Roller System’s geometry allows for extremely thin walls of just 2 mm to 6 mm (depending on the unit’s size) that ensure outstanding energy exchange.
  As a result, the liquid-tempered extruder is able to control temperatures and add or remove energy as required. Cooling components in the modular extruder by 150 K over the shortest possible process line is just as easy as heating components to temperatures as high as 420 °C.
