ENTEX at the Leibniz Institute in Dresden

In July 2025, Thomas Malzahn from ENTEX Rust & Mitschke GmbH in Bochum visited the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research in Dresden to discuss further points of cooperation with research engineer Thomas Schmidt. Since 2022, an ENTEX 30 has been located on the premises of the IPF on Hohe Street.

The Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden was founded in 1992 from the Institute for Polymer Technology of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR and is now one of the largest polymer research institutions in Germany. It is a member of the Leibniz Association.

Polymers offer unique opportunities to tailor materials and launch innovative technologies. At the IPF, researchers from various disciplines collaborate to exploit this fascinating potential from fundamentals to applications.

To study the usability of polymer materials even better, the IPF uses an ENTEX Planetary Roller Extruder.
